An order of scribes and sages devoted to the accumulation, preservation and dissemination of knowledge. Believed to have been founded by the sage Inbul around the year 395. This is debated as Inbul is reported to have died in the year 393.

The order is led by the head sage who is referred to as The Inbul, both in honor of the sage who supposedly founded the order and to continue his work.

The Sage of Elhrub is an apolitical group and serves no political body or faction, though they may be include in one solely in an observational capacity.

They have established a number of libraries throughout the world, the largest being the city of Ilgan. These libraries (which the order refers to as bibliotheca) are open all. Though the works with in a bibliotheca are not permitted to be removed except by members of the order, most may be studied and or copied. The biblioteche also serve as learning centers and centers for debate.

The Sage of Elhrub is rumored to have, in additions to the bibliotheca, a number lamaseries. These lamaseries are in the guise of simple cottages or farm houses scattered throughout the lands. They serve as locations where members can complete their work is solitude.

Due to breadth of the territories covered by The Sage of Elhrub and the need to transfer documents, they have devised a network of caravans and riders who travel between the bibliotheche and lamaseries to move materials. A number of other groups, including merchants, guilds, and political groups, also use this network for correspondence, for a price.

Out of necessity to synchronize documents, The Sage of Elhrub has devised their own calendar system stating the day after the winter equinox after the order was founded (395 Rastad).
